Overview
Email templates behave differently based on their assignment to Salesforce User Roles or Profiles. Based on your organizations practices, you can configure your Email Templates as desired.
Assigned Templates make an email template accessible for manual one-off emails, it must be assigned to specific user roles or profiles. These templates are also available for use in Cadence Email Steps.
Unassigned Templates that are not assigned to any role or profile, it will not appear when sending a one-off email manually. However, such templates remain available for use within Cadence Email Steps.
Assigning Templates
To assign access permissions for each template based on Salesforce profiles, navigate to Cadence Management > Templates > New Template > Select Profile.
From the template builder, navigate to the dropdown field that says Start typing to select profiles. From here, type the profile you want to assign the template to. The profile options will appear in the dropdown list.
Once you have found the desired profile, click on the profile to assign the template. You can assign several profiles to a template.
Note: If you change existing profiles name, no updates are needed for the Templates. If you create new profiles and users are assigned to the new profile, you need to update the profile assignment of their existing email templates.
