Choppy Audio Due to Network Congestion: What You Need to Know
If you're experiencing choppy audio or call quality issues when using Conquer's Computer Audio or softphone services like Teams, Zoom, or Webex, here's what to keep in mind:
Conquer Can’t Control Your Network While Conquer is designed for seamless integration with your CRM, the quality of your calls also depends on the network you're using. If your company’s network (whether in-office or via VPN) isn’t optimized for voice traffic, you may experience audio issues. Unfortunately, Conquer has no control over the infrastructure or configurations of your company's network.
Tips to Improve Audio Quality
-
Avoid VPN or VDI with Conquer’s Computer Audio: These setups aren’t supported and often result in lower-quality connections.
-
Use Local Desktop Applications: For the best performance, run Salesforce, Conquer, Outlook, Teams, and other essential applications on your regular desktop without VPN and not through a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) window.
-
Limit VPN/VDI to Necessary Resources: Only use VPN or VDI when it’s absolutely essential. Otherwise, it may cause unnecessary congestion that affects your audio quality.
-
Workstation Setup: If you suspect an issue with your headset, network, or workstation configuration, check out our Performance Troubleshooting Guide for solutions.
What’s Next? If you're still encountering choppy audio, the issue may be related to your local network or equipment setup. Reach out to your IT department to further investigate and optimize your environment for better performance.
Remember: Conquer cannot manage or fix your network setup, but following the suggestions above will give you the best chance of achieving clear, uninterrupted audio.
