Important information: Salesforce has announced the planned retirement of the Open CTI framework, with a full retirement date scheduled for February 28, 2028. Additionally, beginning in February 2026, Open CTI will no longer be available for newly created Salesforce organizations using Agentforce.
This announcement does not introduce any immediate changes for Conquer clients and no action is needed at this time. Existing integrations and workflows will continue to operate normally.
Salesforce is making this change as part of a broader transition to a new voice architecture that standardizes how telephony providers integrate with the Salesforce platform. This shift introduces a formal partner framework for voice providers across the ecosystem.
What is Salesforce Open CTI?
Open CTI is a Salesforce framework that allows telephony and calling solutions to integrate directly with the Salesforce interface.
It enables capabilities such as click-to-dial, in-CRM call controls, and other telephony workflows that allow sales teams to make and manage calls from within Salesforce.
Salesforce is now transitioning to newer technologies that support voice and communication features more deeply within the platform.
What does this announcement mean for Conquer clients?
There is no immediate impact for Conquer clients.
Conquer will continue to operate as it does today inside Salesforce, and existing calling workflows, integrations, and daily activities remain unchanged. Sales teams can continue making calls, logging activity, and working inside Salesforce using Conquer.
Salesforce has set February 2028 as the retirement date for Open CTI, providing time for vendors across the ecosystem to transition to the next generation of platform capabilities.
Are any Conquer features being retired because of this change?
No. All Conquer capabilities will remain as they are today and deliver the value you know and love.
The retirement of Open CTI does not mean that Conquer or similar solutions will stop working in Salesforce. It reflects Salesforce’s decision to modernize the framework used for certain telephony integrations.
Conquer will continue supporting clients as Salesforce introduces new platform capabilities.
How is Conquer preparing for the Open CTI retirement?
Conquer is actively developing our next-generation Salesforce integration to align with Salesforce’s evolving voice architecture and ensure a seamless long-term experience for clients. Conquer will provide detailed updates in the future as the platform’s architecture evolves.
Do clients need to take action right now?
No action is required at this time.
Clients will continue using Conquer as they do today. If any changes become necessary in the future, Conquer will communicate clear guidance well ahead of time. If you have any questions about the Open CTI changes, please reach out to success@conquer.io or contact your Client Success Manager directly.
