Overview
SMS templates in the 360 SMS App allow you to streamline messaging by creating reusable templates with dynamic merge fields. Follow the step-by-step guide below to start creating and using templates.
Create an SMS Template
1. Open the SMS Templates Tab
- In Salesforce, click on the App Launcher.
- Search for 360 SMS App and open.
- Click on the SMS Templates tab.
2. Start a New Template
- Click the New button to create a new SMS template.
3. Configure Template Details
- Template Name: Provide a clear and descriptive name.
- Template Object: Select the Salesforce object (e.g., Lead, Contact, or Account) to which the template will apply.
- Status: Set the status to Active so the template can be used in messaging.
4. Generate Merge Fields
- Under Generate Merge Fields, click the Object dropdown and select the relevant Salesforce object.
- This will display available merge fields for that object (e.g.,
{!Account.Name},{!Lead.Phone}).
5. Write Your Template Message
- Use the Template Body to compose your SMS message (up to 2000 characters).
- Insert merge fields where needed to personalize your message.
6. Save the Template
- Click Save.

How to Use the SMS Template
- Navigate to the record (Contact, Lead, or Account) for which the SMS template was created.
- Open the 360 SMS Conversation View.
Click the three-dot menu to select your saved template.

- Merge fields will automatically populate with the record's data.
- Review the message and click Send.
